The different MMR brackets in DotA 2

**0-1000 MMR** - The lowest of all, the skill level of players in this bracket is downright awful, this is where people use their mouse to click on abilities and use it that way. Team fights are non-existent and from players' perspective mistakes are not mistakes, they are just necessary actions that must be taken, such as a Sniper going in the enemy territory and getting killed by enemy Bounty Hunter, will respawn and do the exact same thing once again... and again... and again, until he realizes on 8th try that maybe if he buys a goddamn Recipe of 'Wraith Band' without the 'Circlet' and 'Slippers of Agility' he will kill the bounty this time. Yep, he dies for the 9th time, meanwhile, Bounty never left the spot, he knows Sniper is on his way any time now.

**1000-2000 MMR** - Skill level in this bracket is still bad and it is hard to describe how bad, because its still the "Holy-shit-did-he-just-use-his-ravage-to-stun-roshan" level DotA games in this bracket. You will find players losing their hopes after a single death and either leaving the game at 5-10 mins after typing "GG" or start to feed the enemy team relentlessly which is mostly unintentional but you do occasionally get that intentional feeder here too.

**2000-3000 MMR** - The Rikimaru bracket, pick Riki, win games, this is the motto of the players in this bracket. Apart from that, the skill level is still not that good but you do however get some rare good plays and those "Amazing-jukes-by-mistake" in this bracket, when in reality, the player is just right clicking 10,000 times and trying to run away from enemy heroes. You'll also get an occasional smoke here and there in which the smoked supports will hardly be involved in the team fights.

**3000-4000 MMR** - Arguably, this is the mmr where majority of the DotA2 players exist and because of so much competition players have to be really good to get out of this MMR. And this is also the reason we have the most violent flamers among this bracket. For example, Player A types, "Hello everyone, how are we all today?", 3 other players reply "FUCK YOU", "GO FUCK YOURSELF" and "EAT SHIT!!!" respectively. Player A is left speechless. This is also the MMR bracket where 10 mins in the game all 10 players are seen in the midlane, waiting for "the fight" and someone to initiate.

**4000-5000 MMR** - Now we're getting serious, to advance from this bracket into the next, real skill is required. 100% of the games from this bracket have at least one team fight that takes place before the game ends. Most players are efficient in farming, supporting and initiating however a lot of players lack map awareness and correct positioning in team fights. Many players also don't realize when to save an ability and when to spam it, if the ability is available, they will use it in team fights. Example, Pheonix just triggered the Fire Spirits and uses all the spirits on a single target within 2 seconds not realizing that they don't stack, but they just refresh the timer of the dps on enemy player.

**5000-6000 MMR** - Players in this region have improved on most of the mistakes mentioned in the 4k-5k mmr and are only improving day by day. These players are consistent in their play and confident in making plays for their team, they don't take unnecessary risks and despite certain players under-performing in their team, they don't get discouraged. Drawbacks of this MMR are sometimes you get over-arrogant players or players that are too modest, also THOSE GODDAMN ACCOUNT BUYERS!!!

**6000-7000 MMR** - Very few players in this area and players that know their shit! These are the kind who very rarely fail in their maneuvers because they have calculated the risk before they attempt something. Many professional DotA players are found in this bracket. Also, every hero that is out of meta in the MMRs below 6-7k is considered a strong pick in this MMR bracket. Terrorblade is out of meta? no problem, games in 6-7K bracket have people player Terrorblade and kicking ass with it.

**7000-8000 MMR** - The God-tier DotA is player right here. No one can question players in this range on their actions in the game because they all lead to fruitful results. Very few players in this MMR range but they are exceptionally good.
