Why player height matters in dota 2 on LAN

On online it might not matter but when you're playing LAN it's really important. What I am talking about is the emasculation of shorter players made by taller players. Now I'm personally 5'0 so I know about this.

Begin by asking yourself: Why did Na'vi win Ti1? Why did IG win Ti2? Why did Alliance win Ti3? Why did Newbee win Ti4? Why did EG win Ti5?

They have all one common nominator: they all have a tall player or leader on their team that emasculates their grand finalist opponents.

Take Puppey for example. He's the same height as Jeremy Lin (6'3). When he went on stage to face EHOME on LAN they all became really intimidated by his height. It made them question themselves when they sat there during the grand final of ti1. Eventually they won. It's also not just the height that matters. It's also the intimidation factor that Puppey contributes with to LANs.

Now after Ti1 teams started looking at what Na'vi did different to them. In short they didn't find so much difference until they started to look at the background and overview of the players. They soon found the intimidation and height factor of their captain. That's when the Chinese Government (who really has a pride in dota and wanted dota 2 to happen for china) decided to make a top secret dota 2 government project where they'd find a new team that could compete with Na'vi for the upcoming TI (ti2) - IG was the result. Who was the leader of IG? Chuan of course. He was an up and coming basketball pro player until he got himself an injury so he used his height to get good in dota 2. IG now had a captain with both the height and the intimidation factor. In short, Na'vi was IG's equivalent over in China and vice verse for IG in europe. The reason IG won Ti2 was because they didn't put so much emphathisis on the height and intimidation factor, but rather the strategical factor because they knew they had the intimidation and height factor checked meaning they didn't have to care about it. Na'vi who didn't think so much about the strategical factor was really surprised when they saw IG and especially.. Chuan..

From Ti3 we had s4 who is 6'4. From Ti4 we had a new factor: the girlfriend factor. Xia8 got married the year before and that has never happened to any dota 2 player. Which made them all feel very emasculated from that fact itself since they thought.. "damn I dont have a girlfriend but he does, damn... I need a gf" so players started questioning what they did there and forgot about the goal in sight, so newbee took that. Then we had ti5 where we have fear who is 6'5.
